A Massive Fire Has Completely Destroyed The National Museum Of Natural History In Delhi

The National Museum of Natural History in Delhi has been completely destroyed after a massive fire engulfed the building on Tuesday morning around 1.45am, reports ANI

The fire is reportedly now under control. 

The fire reportedly started at the top floor of the museum and spread throughout the building to all six floors, reports NDTV.

25 Fire tendors rushed to the spot. 

The adjoining FICCI auditorium has also been reportedly damaged.

The fire initially was out of control as the ‘building’s fire safety mechanisms were not working’. However, three hours later, it was finally brought under control and completely doused around 7am, reports NDTV.  

Six firemen have been critically injured. They are admitted at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where their condition is currently stable, reports Times Of India

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
