AAP MLA Alka Lamba Attacked During Anti-Drugs Campaign, Suffers Head Injury

AAP MLA Alka Lamba was stone pelted by a group of unidentified men in North Delhi’s Kashmere Gate area during an anti-drugs campaign following which she has suffered head injuries.

Lamba, MLA from Chandni Chowk constituency, initiated an anti-drug drive in the capital around 5 am in the morning, reportedly.

She took to Twitter to express that the attack will not stop her from conducting such campaigns.

Responding to Lamba, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted:

Later, AAP spokesperson Ashutosh tweeted alleging the whole incident as a conspiracy by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Ashutosh also tweeted saying,” She was targeted as she was the only one who got hit in crowd. It’s a conspiracy. AAP will fight back .”

Meanwhile, AAP has blamed the Delhi police for not being able to provide adequate security during the campaign in a press conference.

While investigations are underway, such incidents prove that attacks cannot suppress the voice. Rather, they help in strengthening the movement.
