The principal of Rajendra Public School, Nihal Vihar, Delhi, has been booked for allegedly beating up two school students with a pipe for bunking classes.
Manisha is also the wife of AAP’s MLA from Nangloi Jat, Raghuvinder Shokeen, and the school is said to be owned by him.
The Class 4 and 7 students reportedly got bruises on their hands, legs and waist, after which their parents approached the police alleging that the kids were first locked in a classroom and then thrashed hard. The medical report confirmed the same.
“They were also threatened that the kids would not be taken back in the school,” police said, reported TOI.
However, the school authorities had a different story to share. They claimed that the students were caught jumping off floors via grills and coolers by the school guard and were given notice for the same.
A case has been registered against the principal for voluntarily causing hurt, wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation and for cruelty to juvenile. However, she is yet to be arrested.
