An Adult Male Rhino Found Dead In Kaziranga National Park

The carcass of an adult male rhino with its horn intact was found today in the Kaziranga National Park (KNP) in Assam, an official said.

People from the nearby Japoripathar village noticed the carcass floating on the Diphloo river near Mikirjan forest camp of the Park’s Kohora range. 

KNP officials and veterinarians examined the body and said that it was a case of natural death, the official said. The horn of the rhino was recovered by the forest officials for safe-keeping.
