Carcasses of Lions, Blackbuck, Blue Bull, Spotted Deer Recovered After Rain

A team of forest officials recovered carcasses of four-year-old lion and lioness in Inglorala village in Liliya tehsil in the district of Amreli, Gujarat. One more lion carcass was found in the Pingli village which lies in the district of Bhavnagar. Earlier five carcasses were found in the same district.

Amidst this search, Gujjar reported that the forest department has also recovered carcasses of one endangered species of blackbuck, two spotted deer and also of about 70 blue bulls. Heavy rains had caused a flood like situation in Gujarat’s Saurashtra, which abysmally affected forest areas of Amreli, due to which many wild animal failed to survive.
