As the Aam Aadmi Party government led by Arvind Kejriwal completed a year in Delhi, the Chief Minister tweeted regarding what he describes an anniversary of the day that Delhi fell in love with AAP, and called the bond an everlasting one.
He said, “We completed one year today. Now the servants of the people are standing before their masters to provide explanations,” and conducted a two hour programme from the NDMC Convention Centre in Connaught Place.
Kejriwal invited people to ask questions from the government, and directly answered questions alongside his cabinet members between 11 to 1 PM. He also announced plans for ‘Mohalla Clinics’ in every locality with free X-ray, surgery and medicines, NDTV reported.
The CM will inaugurate 20 Aam Aadmi Polyclinics with out patient departments for various facilities. He also said, “we stand firm on our commitment for cheap water. We have been working on this.” In order to give an account of work done in the year, Kejriwal ordered all departments to come up with details of projects.
He said that by December 2017, residents will get drinking water from their taps, and it will be better than RO purified water. Kejriwal also said that they will introduce an order binding on discoms to pay consumers if power is disrupted for over an hour, as reported by The Indian Express.
Meanwhile as AAP celebrates a year of a victory in polls on the “paanch saal kejriwal” agenda, The BJP, which has only three out of 70 members in the assembly, held demonstrations and called it a black day.
