The confrontation between the BJP and Arvind Kejriwal, over his outrage on the CBI raid at Rajendra Kumar’s office, quickly escalated into a political slug-fest as the Aam Aadmi Party accused Arun Jaitley of corruption in the DDCA.
While Arun Jaitley defended himself, the BJP has decided to stand with him, as AAP is calling for the minister’s resignation. Former Indian spinner Bishan Singh Bedi als o alleged that “the corruption in DDCA was because of Jaitley’s connivance” .
Amid the chaos and sharp criticism, India’s cricketing star and Delhi local boy Virender Sehwag has backed Arun Jaitley with a series of tweets. He called the BJP leader as supportive and someone who would ensure justice for players.
Another Delhi boy, Gautam Gambhir, also joined in the chorus as he directly referred to the allegations against Jaitley calling them inappropriate.
