Russian National Sexually Assaulted By Bank Manager Whom She Met On Facebook

A 20-year-old Russian woman has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by a bank manager in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura. The accused, who is the manager of UCO Bank’s Vrindavan branch, was arrested by the police on Friday.

The accused Mahendra Prasad Singh, who had befriended the woman on Facebook, repeatedly raped her since she came to India in September. While the woman has been sent for medical examination, Singh has been booked on the basis of a complaint, PTI reported.

According to the FIR, the woman visited came to India in September 17 on his advice and stayed in the temple of town of Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh She also claimed that the man had multiple relationships with other women.

The victim alleged that she was taken to a house on September 22 where she was raped repeatedly. She also claimed that the accused had threatened her with “dire consequences”.

But the accused has denied the allegations. “There was no contact between us for a year. She was asking me for money. When I refused, she filed this case against me,” he told ANI.
