BJP MLA Ganesh Joshi Arrested For Allegedly Attacking Police Horse Shaktiman

BJP MLA from Mussoorie, Ganesh Joshi was arrested on Friday morning by Uttarakhand Police for allegedly attacking Shaktiman, the 14-year-old Police horse in Dehradun on Monday.

However, Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Harish Rawat, denied having any knowledge about this arrest.

Rawat further said that the state is doing all it can to save Shaktiman’s life.

On Thursday, BJP worker identified as Pramod Bora was arrested from Haldwani in Nainital district for forcefully pulling the bridle of the horse and causing its fall at the protest on 14 March.

Shaktiman had his injured hind leg amputated in an emergency life-saving surgery on Thursday, due to the spread of gangrene from the wound.
