A school student in Telangana had to pay a hefty price for clicking a picture of his teacher sleeping in the classroom. The boy, a student of Class 10, was allegedly tied to a volleyball post and beaten up by two policemen on Saturday, The Times of India reported.

The minor had apparently clicked the picture on July 27 and sent it to the district education officer through WhatsApp. The teacher, K Ramulu, had been suspended the following day.

NDTV reported that police claimed to have caught the boy because he had been drinking alcohol in the school premises along with his friends. However, the student said that he was only consuming a soft drink with his friends.

Reports allege that a group of teachers on Saturday contacted the cops, following which the student was thrashed.
