In a tragic incident, a 19-year-old boy allegedly ended his life while talking to his girlfriend on WhatsApp video call.
According to TOI, the youth identified as Akash Kumar from Patna, shot himself in the head with a semi-automatic pistol while chatting with his girlfriend on a video call, inside his residence.
Reportedly, the victim failed to clear his intermediate examination last year and was said to be linked to one of the ‘biker gangs’ in Patna.
His girlfriend is a class 12 student from Patna. The youth allegedly took away his life because both sets of parents were against their relationship.
Akash asked his girlfriend to come online before he committed suicide.
According to police sources,
The girl told police that Akash cocked pistol at the live video chat on which she asked him to remove the pistol and take out the magazine. Keeping the cellphone on his legs covered with a blanket, the youth shot himself while resting on his back on the bed.
Also, a 9 mm country-made pistol, a loaded magazine, a pellet and the cellphone through which Akash was chatting with his girlfriend have been seized from the accident spot.
The incident took place at around 3 am in morning. An FIR has been lodged against his girlfriend and police is investigating the matter.
