In a shocking incident, a minor girl was raped and burnt by her boyfriend in Tigri village near Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh on Monday.
The incident took place at the victim’s residence in the presence of her family members, when the boy came to meet her, says a report by Hindustan Times.
The accused Ajay Sharma(18) came to meet her around 2:30 am and took her on to the roof where he raped and set her ablaze before fleeing the spot, the report adds.
Ajay has been arrested by the police on charges of rape and attempt to murder.
According to the girl’s parents, both of them were having an affair and they had complained about Ajay harrassing the girl to his family, reports CNN-IBN.
The victim was admitted in Safdarjung hospital, Delhi after sustaining more than 60% burns.
