BSF Constable Refuses ₹11 Lakh Dowry At His Wedding, Takes ₹11 With Coconut As Token Instead

Taking dowry is still quite common in our country even though there are strict laws against it. But there are some who stand against the evil even when it comes to their wedding.

A BSF constable refused to accept Rs 11 lakh in cash as dowry in the town of Amba Bari. Instead, the agent accepted Rs 11 and coconut as a token from the bride’s parents.

After the constable rejected the dowry, the father of the bride mentioned

“I was surprised and initially thought that the boyfriend’s family wanted more money or they were not happy with the arrangements. Later, we realized that he and his family were totally against the money offered to them.

This BSF agent and his family set an example against the evil custom of dowry after clearly rejected the cash being offered to them at the wedding.
