Another incident of harassment by a cabbie has come to light recently. A woman, who was travelling to Faridabad from Saket on the eve of 2nd of July, has alleged that the cabbie was masturbating while driving. She shared the entire story on Facebook and Twitter :
The driver was associated with cab services like Ola, TaxiForSure and Uber. Following the woman’s complaint, TaxiForSure has terminated the driver’s service as seen on her Twitter account :
The quick action on the part of TaxiForSure is definitely appreciated. However, how do we ensure that this incident is not repeated in the future? What kind of policing or character assessment can these companies engage in to screen such people? It’s probably high time such questions were raised.
