Woman officers have been an essential part of our military for some time now. Case in point, Captain Kalpana Kundu, an Indian Army officer who took part in a high altitude patrol in Arunachal Pradesh on June 20.

According to The Times of India, Captain Kundu wished to provide medical assistance to Indian soldiers deployed along the Chinese border.

The Indian Army Medical Corps is a branch of the Army which provides medical services to all army personnel, including their families.

Apart from the Indian Army putting out a tweet regarding the matter, a lot of folks on the internet were also commending her for helping her fellow soldiers.

It’s truly heartening to see the military embrace the role of women in the defense sector.
