Sports star Serena Williams was spotted taking a cab to reach the finishing line of her own five kilometre charity run in Miami according to a report in The Herald Sun .
While Serena Williams’s sister Venus, who also took part in the event was seen running till the finishing line, Serena was spotted taking a taxi while she was still two kilometres away from it.

The tennis star has not given any official statement, post or tweet as to why she took a cab but a report in The Daily Mail suggested that injuries may have played a part. Serena had announced in October 2015 that she would take an off for the rest of the year to recover from her injuries.
“I didn’t run the whole way this year, but next year I will,” Serena Williams later said in a video she posted on her Facebook page.
