These Kids’ ‘Chappal Selfie’ Is Going Viral & It Shows The Sad Reality Of Times We Live In

Ira Shukla

In the past few hours, many Indian celebrities have retweeted this picture of an unknown group of kids posing with a slipper as a phone and pretending to be taking a selfie.

While it is heartwarming to see the kids being happy with whatever resources they have, it also shows the grim reality of our times.

One of the first people to share the image was celebrity photographer Atul Kasbekar, who posted it on his Twitter handle.

Soon, many other people followed suit.

There are rumours that this picture might be photoshopped, though, with Amitabh Bachchan also questioning its credibility.

Regardless of everything, the point is something different here and leaves something for all of us to think about.
