From launching a massive search operation to track down a politician’s missing buffaloes to nabbing a pigeon for national security, the Indian police are known for running into trouble with animals.
Now, they detained a goat in Chattisgarh for trespassing and damage to property! However, it has been granted bail.
The tale of the intrusive goat surfaced in a region called Korea in Chattisgarh, which is about 350 km from state capital Raipur. The goat just would not stop grazing in the garden of a judge’s house, despite repeated warnings to its owner.
When the goat owner, Abdul Hassan, failed to stop his animal from going into the garden, a peon filed a complaint and the ASI of the area took the goat into custody.
Among the goat’s criminal activities, the police listed grazing in the garden and eating plants and vegetables.

“The judge’s bungalow has an iron gate and the goat used to jump over it and enter,” said Assistant Sub Inspector R P Srivastava to NDTV.
