While We Were Busy Bunking, This Chennai Boy Hasn’t Missed School Or College For Last 17 Years

While we were bunking classes and making excuses for not going to school, this guy from Chennai was busy attending all the classes.

According to a report by The New Indian Express, GV Vinoth Kumar hasn’t missed a single day at school and college for the last 17 years.

After receiving a certificate for full attendance by the school when he finished class 12, he came up with the idea of setting a new world record for the same. 

He made it a point to attend college despite sickness, bad weather and several other challenges that he faced in commutation.

Talking to The New Indian Express, Vinoth Kumar said:

My parents motivated me a lot. They were the ones who told me that I should go to school every day. My father, who is also a teacher, used to drop me at school every day.

He also talked about missing trips with his friends. He said, “I feel bad when my friends go on trips without me and come back with great stories.”

Vinoth Kumar hopes to complete 19 years of perfect attendance in a bid to set a world record.
