Watch: In China, An Army Of Kids Is Learning How To Solve Rubik’s Cube In Less Than A Minute

Ever since its invention in the 70s, the Rubiks Cube has been popular among children and adults alike, as solving it is a fascinating and competitive game, while it also boosts mathematics skills.

The current record for solving the Rubics Cube is 4.90 seconds and was set in November 2015 in the US, but China seems to be preparing its own set of mega-minds, with classes dedicated to train children in solving the cube from an early age, as children are able to solve it in less than a minute.

The Rubiks Cube class is just one of many extra curricular activities that parents introduce their children to, including calligraphy classes, Piano lessons and even classes which teach math on a traditional abacus.

These programs which children are enrolled into at a young age, are meant to polish skills in different fields, and prepare them for future competition.
