To celebrate their term, CISF organised a grand farewell and honoured their dedication and devotion by awarding medals, certificates of appreciation and mementoes to them and their trainers.

Reportedly, it was the first time in history that this force has organised such a huge retirement ceremony for the dogs. To carry out the function, many senior officials from CISF were also present there.

The dogs were later handed over to Friendicoes, an animal welfare NGO in Delhi. Retired dogs are generally send off to work as guard dogs and sometimes, they’re put up for adoption.
