Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had been approached in January this year by the legendary museum to have a life-size wax replica made of him. Back then, there had been no confirmation from his office, but it now seems that the Delhi CM has given his approval.

A team of artists working at the Madame Tussauds museum in London will be flying down to Delhi next month to get measurements of Kejriwal, reported India Today. This will make Kejriwal the first Indian chief minister to be featured at the iconic museum.

The statue will be displayed at various museums under the Madame Tussauds brand name across the world, after which it will be installed at the upcoming wax museum that is being planned at Connaught Place in Delhi by 2017.

A senior officer of the state’s tourism department said,

“Date of sitting is yet to be decided but anytime next month measurements of Delhi’s Chief Minister will be taken. Aim is to construct this museum by next year in Connaught Place… Team is considering to make life-size status of freedom fighters and culturally important personalities.”

Recently, Madame Tassauds released a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi being measured for his statue at the museum.
