In March 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top BJP leaders prefixed ‘Chowkidar’ to their names on Twitter as part of the party’s ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar‘ campaign.
Since then, their Twitter handles read Chowkidar before their names. Now this is sure to cause confusion.
A Twitter user posted this screenshot according to which CNN US mentioned Sushma Swaraj’s name as Chowkidar Sushma Swaraj.
It did give people a chance to make fun of the name and many already saw that coming.
However, the publication later corrected the mistake and modified the article.
