Delhi’s Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium Is To Be Renamed After Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley

The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has decided to rename the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium after former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who passed away on Saturday.

According to CNN News18, the rechristening will take place on the 12th of September at a function, where a stand is also to be named after Indian captain Virat Kohli.

According to reports, DDCA president Rajat Sharma also spoke on the subject and said: 

It was Arun Jaitley’s support and encouragement that players like Virat Kohli, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Ashish Nehra, Rishabh Pant and many others could make India proud.

It has been reported that Jaitley is credited with renovating the stadium into a modern facility, increasing the capacity to accommodate more fans and create world-class dressing rooms.
