A 19-year-old youth was brutally stabbed to death with an ice pick by a group of men in southeast Delhi’s Sangam Vihar locality, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Feroz, a motor mechanic.
According to the police, suspects have been detained.
“We have detained the suspects and are questioning them to know the reason behind the brutal murder,” said a senior police officer.
The incident took place next to a school in the area last midnight when several men attacked Feroz using an ice pick and then fled from the spot. Police rushed him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Feroz was riding a bike at the time of the incident, said a senior police officer.
The family of the victim told police that he had left home to meet a friend.
