Beer connoisseurs, there’s good news for y’all that’s going to make you ‘beer-y’ happy! Delhi will finally get its own microbreweries and you won’t have to go all the way to Gurgaon (Gurugram) to savour that pint of freshly brewed lager.

According to reports, the Master Plan for Delhi 2021 will see Delhi having microbreweries in bars, restaurants and hotels. This is the first time that Delhi will experience its own microbreweries.

This news, however, comes with certain terms and conditions. These microbreweries can only have capacity of up to 500 litres per day. And they should also have on-site waste water treatment facility.

The proposal to open microbreweries in the capital was approved last September in DDA’s meeting. According to a few officials, this will be extremely helpful in improving Delhi’s night life and increasing its revenues.
