Snapdeal has bought FreeCharge, the online mobile recharge platform. While the exact terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed by either company, according to a report on Economic Times , Snapdeal has paid a tidy sum of Rs 2,800 crore ($450 million) in cash and stock.

While the acquisition itself will help Snapdeal get access to FreeCharge’s 10 million users, the way they announced the deal on Twitter was simply epic. Check out the picture below.

So what will happen to FreeCharge after the deal?

FreeCharge will continue to function as an independent platform after the deal is closed but it will start showing more “digital goods” in the future, according to co-founder Kunal Shah, says a report in LiveMint.

While there’s no final word on the numbers for this deal, there’s no doubt that Snapdeal and FreeCharge won Twitter, given the way they announced it on social media.
