Veteran actor Dilip Kumar is recovering after being admitted to a hospital for kidney- related ailments five days ago, a close family friend said.
The 94-year-old actor was admitted to the city-based Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra on Wednesday morning for treatment of dehydration and a urinary tract infection.The family friend, Faisal Farooqui, shared an update about Kumars health on the actors official Twitter page.
“Dilip Saab is doing much better now. Please remember him in your prayers. -FF,” he posted.
“The excellent team of doctors and staff of Lilavati Hospital along with Saira Baaji are caring for Dilip Saab 24×7. -FF.”
Hospital officials had earlier said because of his age, Kumar would be under observation and remain in the ICU for the next two or three days, depending on how his body responds to treatment.
