Do Men Have Better Orgasms Or Women? Science Finally Seems To Have An Answer

Prapti Elizabeth

Ever wondered how the opposite sex feels when they reach the pinnacle of sexual fulfilment? Orgasms have baffled our minds for years. A recent study by AsapSCIENCE into who has better orgasms, men or women, reveals quite a lot of things and puts to rest a lot of thoughts/assumptions we might have had. There were a lot of other finds too. As most of us get curious about this sublime experience, here are some new finds you might be interested in.

Guff

Women tend to have longer orgasms, whereas men have more of them.

A woman’s sexual climax lasts for 20 seconds or more, whereas men experience an orgasm for 3-10 seconds. So yes ladies, you enjoy a longer time span of the mind-going-blank-with-ecstasy phenomenon. Whereas men, for whom orgasms last for 3-10 seconds, tend to have more of them. Statistically speaking, men experience an orgasm in 95% of their sexual encounters, whereas for women the number comes down to 69%.

What’s better? More of it or a longer duration?

Yeah, if only the answer could be as simple as that. Your orgasm also depends upon the kind of sex you’re having, especially for women. The 21 to 26-year-old men who were part of the study show a similar rate of orgasms. But when it came to women, the number varied depending upon their sexual orientation.

Highdefnews

The study showed that lesbians have 12% more orgasms than straight women. Not only this, 25% said that they reach a climax in every sexual encounter. Almost half of them reported that they experienced an orgasm at least 75% of the time. And here’s where many of us might feel a terrible sense of loss- on an average, lesbian sexual encounters last for an 30-45 minutes. Unlike the measly 15-35 minutes, experienced by the majority of us.

But let’s face it, duration and prevalence aside, what makes orgasms amazing is how we feel when we have one. And let’s fist bump to the fact that your nether-region-type does not determine how good an orgasm you have.

Yep. An orgasm affects exactly the same areas in men and women and nobody has the better deal in that regard. At least that’s what we know right now, and this video explains it the best.
