Don’t Believe The Bhakts, Woman Cop Was Really Transferred For Standing Up To BJP MP

Days after Uttar Pradesh cop Shrestha Thakur who stood up against unruly BJP workers was transferred, a BJP leader has justified her transfer, saying that she ‘crossed her line’ and that her behaviour was not acceptable.

Thakur, who had sought to fine a BJP member in Bulandshahr, has been transferred to Bahraich as its deputy SP. After the transfer, many, especially BJP supporters, had claimed that it was a ‘routine’ transfer.

However reports clearly suggest that the decision was taken to save the ‘pride’ of BJP which was apparently hurt after Thakur had reprimanded a few workers for violating the rules.

A Hindustan Times report said the transfer decision was taken after a delegation of 11 BJP MLAs and MP met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Not just that, the local leaders also urged the Uttar Pradesh government to take action against her.

And now, BJP MP from Meerut, Rajendra Agarwal has blamed the cop for the whole fiasco. Talking to media on Wednesday, Agarwal said, ”Look, we and by we I mean Honorable Chief minister has given absolute freedom to the authorities to improve the law and order situation in the state. But in no way, it mean that the district officers or police officers become corrupt with power. They also have limitations and they should work under those restrictions.”

On being asked to specifically comment on the Bulandshahr incident, he said, “I say this on record that the woman’s behaviour was unacceptable.”

Just like him, BJP city president Mukesh Bhardwaj had also made no qualms about admitting that the officer was transferred in order to keep the party workers’ morale high.

He also accused the woman cop of using foul language against the Uttar Pradesh CM and other party leaders.
