After A Long Battle With CBFC ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ Will Now Release In India On July 28

After a long fight with the censor board, Konkona Sen Sharma and Ratna Pathak Shah starrer Lipstick Under My Burkha finally gears up for a release on July 28.

The Prakash Jha production has also added another feather to the cap by welcoming producer Ekta Kapoor on-board as the presenter and pan-India distributor of Lipstick Under My Burkha.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the good news. 

The globally acclaimed film, which revolves around life of four ladies, has also garnered several accolades including the Spirit of Asia Award at the Tokyo International Film Festival and the Oxfam Award for the Best Film on Gender Equality at the Mumbai Film Festival. Konkana Sen Sharma also bagged the award for Best Actress for her role in the film at the New York Indian Film Festival.
