Ending Month-Long Political Drama, Uddhav Thackeray Takes Oath As Maharashtra CM

At a grand ceremony held at Shivaji Park, Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray has sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra by Governer Bhagat Singh Koshyari.  Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP have come together to form govt in the state.

This ended the month-long political drama in Maharashtra.

Thackeray is the Shiv Sena leader to hold this top after Narayan Rane and Manohar Joshi. He is also the first member from the Thackeray family to become the Chief Minister.
