Facebook, Instagram & Messenger Were Down For Hours And Everyone In The World Legit Panicked

If you’ve been wondering why Facebook wouldn’t let you share that post, Instagram wouldn’t let you post that latest picture or Story, or why WhatsApp and Messenger wouldn’t let you upload that picture message, it was because of a major global outage that hit the platforms last night, as reported by Hindustan Times

In short, everything was down, the apocalypse was near and we were screwed.

And jutst FYI, #FacebookDown and #InstagramDown have been trending now for 12 hours straight.

According to downdetector.com, Facebook was hit at around 10 PM while several others even reported issues emerging as early as around 9:38 PM, reports HT.

MSN

In a statement to Reuters, a Facebook spokesperson is said to have revealed that the company is “aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps.”

The message most users seemed to encounter was: “Something’s gone wrong” and that “it will get fixed soon.”

Obviously users took to Twitter, instantly to unite as coping mechanism.

The social platforms were back up a couple of hours – that sure as hell seemed like a lifetime – later. But, the floodgates for memes remained open.

And obviously, we were having withdrawal symptoms too, since we’re literally jobless without posting on our social media accounts. So, this describes us right now.

Legit, us right now.

And now that it’s up and running again – hopefully, for a while – let’s take a moment to thank Twitter for always being there!
