Devendra Fadnavis has resigned as Maharashtra CM a day before he was to face a floor test ordered by the Supreme Court. His resignation followed that of Ajit Pawar, who quit as the Deputy CM of Maharashtra.

Talking to the reporters, Fadnavis said:

Ajit Pawar gave me his resignation. BJP had decided from the first day we will not indulge in horse-trading. We only decided to form government because NCP was with us. Since he has resigned, I will also resign.

Internet has been witnessing the political drama in Maharashtra for a few days now and people had a lot to say about it.

It still remains to be seen how the government is formed in the state now.
