Flipkart Will Offer Rs 50,000 Allowance To Employees Who Adopt Kids

This is awesome news! Not just for Flipkart’s employees, but also the thousands of Indian children who want to be adopted. A few days ago, they had announced an unmatched maternity package . In a tweet today, the company announced that they would offer Rs. 50,000 as ‘adoption allowance’ for their employees. They are calling it the Adoption Assistance Program. The FirstPost asked an interesting question , is this a first for the country? It might just be. Regardless, it’s a very welcome change! If more people adopt similar benefit programs, this could be the boost that India needs to its adoption rate. I have my fingers crossed. India’s CEOs, are you listening?
