From Explosive Factories To Secret Tunnels, Here’s What Has Been Found In Dera’s Sirsa Ashram

After the authorities began sanitising Dera Sacha Sauda’s headquarters in Sirsa, Haryana, an illegal explosive factory, two secret tunnels and plastic Dera currency were the things which were recovered by the authorities.

The sanitisation began on Friday in the sprawling 600-acre campus even as 4,000 security personnel including Haryana Police officials and paramilitary soldiers kept vigil. Mobile internet services are still banned in the district to prevent any untoward incident. 

Curfew still remains in area days after Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim conviction, which caused violence in Panchkula leaving 38 dead and more than 250 injured. All roads leading to the headquarters from Sirsa and nearby places have been sealed.

Here are a list of things which the security personnel have found till now after they began checking the Sirsa ashram: 

Illegal explosive factories

An illegal explosives factory has been found inside the campus in which 85 cartons of explosive materials were recovered. A forensic team will now examine the nature of the explosives, reports NDTV.

Secret tunnels

Two secret tunnels have also been discovered. One of the tunnel connects Dera chief’s gufa with sadhvi awas where women followers used to stay. It has been alleged that Ram Rahim used to rape women inside the gufa. The other tunnel connects the gufa to the outside which could be used as an escape route, reports Indian Express.

Luxury car 

A black Toyota Lexus luxury SUV without the number plate and an OB van were seized from the Dera headquarters, reports PTI.

Costly clothes and shoes

 1,500 pairs of costly designer shoes of Gurmeet Ram Rahim and hundreds of designer dresses have been recovered, reports Tribune.
