12 Gold Bars Worth Rs 38 Lakh Seized From A Baggage Trolley At Mumbai Airport

Officials at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai seized 12 gold bars on Thursday, reports ANI

The gold bars weighing 1392 grams were hidden in a baggage trolley. 

This is not the first time that airport officials have encountered gold smuggling. Last month, an 83-year-old man was caught trying to smuggle gold bars worth 19 lakhs.

In  August, Air India’s senior Captain Vijay Pratap operating flight AI 932 from Jeddah to Mumbai was caught with gold worth Rs. 15,65,567 by Mumbai airport officials.
