#RK Laxman’s Birthday: Google Roles Out A Sweet Doodle, Twitteratti Abuzz With Wishes & Tributes

While the world pays tributes to great personalities on their birth anniversaries, Google has its own special ways. So on his 94th birth anniversary our nation’s most celebrated cartoonist R K Laxman was honoured by a sweet gesture from Google:

Born on October 24, 1921, in Mysuru, Karnataka, the ‘Pied Piper of Delhi’ was best known for immortalising ‘ The Common Man ‘, a fictional comic character based on the life of a common Indian. His daily comic strip You Said It was published in The Times of India for more than five decades. His cartoons were also a part of the legendary book Malgudi Days .
