Deputy Superintendent of Police Manjitha Vanzara responded to the incident and told reporters:

Chaudhary has violated the rules. She was not in uniform while on duty. Secondly, she shot a video of herself inside the Langhnaj village police station. Police personnel should follow discipline, which she has not done and hence (was) suspended.

According to reports, Chaudhary had shot the video on the 20th of July and had circulated it on social media sites, including WhatsApp. She had been recruited in the LRD in 2016 and had been transferred to Mehsana just a year ago.
