Lord Hanuman Gets Eviction Notice From Municipal Authorities! Why? For Encroachment

Humans often tend to cross over to the bizarre. While some of these deeds may seem controversial, others are plain ridiculous.

Like this one.

Lord Hanuman has been issued an eviction notice on charges of encroachment. Yes, you read that right.

This happened in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh, and the notice has been issued by none other than the municipal authority of the area, addressed to the main deity of a temple, Lord Hanuman.

But maybe that’s not entirely a bad thing. I mean come on, when was the last time you got a notification from God that read, “You will fall sick today so be ready to pay the doctor’s fee or start saving money for your new phone because it will be snatched away while traveling in the bus “?

The notice, it seems, was issued after a portion of the Hanuman temple was found to be encroaching upon the road meant for public.

It reads: “You have illegally encroached the road which causes public inconvenience, leading to possibility of accident. Despite earlier directive to remove the encroachment, you have not complied. You were given the Gwalior High Court’s order. But you didn’t comply. A contempt of court case has been initiated against you.”

It was directed from the Gwalior High Court and was was supposed to be issued in the name of temple’s priest or trust, but instead it was issued directly to the deity.
