Here’s Why Some Companies Are Happy To Trash Currency Notes

In an unprecedented step to tackle the problem of black money and fake notes in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes will no longer be legal from midnight of 8 November, 2016.

As the announcement stunned the country, the folks at Paytm, an online wallet service, put out a perfectly-timed tweet that has started going viral.

Realising that the move will create panic among public, the official Twitter account put out this.

The other online payment accounts like Mobikwik and FreeCharge soon followed suit.
