Wednesday is the day when the hashtag #AntiNationalRSS went bonkers on Twitter. The trending hashtag witnessed a lot of brickbats directed towards the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). 

Its origins lie in social media users slamming the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government’s crackdown on students of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Twitterati took to ridiculing the harsh handling of the #JNUCrackdown issue.
