Swedish furniture retail giant, Ikea officially launched in India with its first store in Hyderabad. And looking at pictures and videos across social media, the public has surely declared it an enormous hit.

According to this viral video, yesterday evening the Ikea store at Hitec City witnessed a near stampede of sorts.

The frenzy even resulted in massive traffic outside the store which brought thousands of commuters to a standstill.

The situation went so out of hand that the Cyberabad Traffic Police had to issue an advisory against the road situation around Hitec City.

What’s more? The madness also soon trickled into Twitter.

While it’s going to be a nightmare commuting in Hyderabad for a few days at least, it’s definitely celebration time for the company.
