In Yet Another Stalking Horror Story, Woman In Gurgaon Chased By Two Men In A Car

Days after the Varnika Kundu stalking case in Chandigarh, Gurgaon witnessed a similar incident where a 25-year old woman was chased by two men in a car, reported NDTV

An executive with a private firm in Gurgaon, the woman was reportedly followed by two men for 3 km. They even shouted at her and repeatedly tried to stop her scooter on her way to home on Monday night. 

According to Times of India, the victim’s ordeal began in Sector-18 Gurgaon and ended near Atul Kataria Chowk in Gurgaon.  

“I tried to ignore them and raced for my life, and somehow reached home,” she stated in her police complaint that she filed on Tuesday afternoon in Sector 14 police station.

An FIR has been registered against two unidentified men under the case of stalking. Speaking to Times of India, inspector Bhartendra, SHO, Sector 14 police station said that the investigation will rely heavily based on evidence provided by CCTV footage.

“We know the car’s registration number starts with ‘HR-57’, which was mentioned in the complaint. But we need details about the incident and have called the women to join the investigation. We are trying to trace the car and the accused,” he added. 

Last week, the nation woke up to the horrifying stalking case of 29-year-old Varnika Kundu, a DJ by profession who was stalked, chased and harassed by 23-year-old Vikas Barala, son of Haryana state BJP chief Subhash Barala along with his friend Ashish Kumar.

Vikas Barala was arrested on Thursday after he confessed of his crime.
