2009 Batch IPS Officer Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances In Chennai

A 32-year-old IPS officer was today found dead in the police officer’s mess in Egmore, Chennai. N Harish was the Assistant Superintendent of Police in the Tamil Nadu Vigilance and Anti-Corruption wing in Chennai.

Harish was an officer of 2009 batch and had recently been transferred from Madurai to Chennai. The cause of death was being ascertained and investigations were on, police said.

According to The NEWS Minute report, he was youngest officer of his batch, who is from from Karnataka. He was denied promotion as SP because of a departmental enquiry. His body has been sent for post mortem to the Rajiv Gandhi government hospital, the report adds.
