Jet Airways Air-Hostesses Suspended For Allowing Sonu Nigam To Sing On Flight

Passengers of a Jet Airways flight were delighted when singer Sonu Nigam obliged to their requests and performed an unexpected mid-air gig. But a month after the incident, it is the Jet Airways cabin crew that is face with not so delightful consequences, as they have been suspended for letting Nigam use the flight announcement system.

While Nigam mesmerised his fans on the Jodhpur to Mumbai flight, with famous melodies from Refugee and Veer Zaara, the short concert left all five members of the cabin crew in a spot, who were taken off duty for enquiry, India Today reported.

A statement issued by the airline said, “all Cabin Crew on the flight have been taken off from flight duty for enquiry and corrective training to reinforce strict adherence to operating procedures”.

The DGCA said “these acts by the cabin crew had drawn the attention of other crew on duty, thus reducing their preparedness/alertness. The frequent movement of the dancing crew may have affected the aircraft’s centre of gravity during flight and created turbulence”, as reported by The Times Of India.

This action certainly didn’t go down well with several people who expressed their displeasure,

Although passengers on the flight and those who saw the video were fascinated by the surprise performance, it resulted in harsh consequences for the cabin crew who helped make it all possible.
