You Won’t Believe How This Brilliant Jugaad Is Saving The Lives Of School Kids Across India

Statistics say that two million children lose their lives to diarrhoea every year. Stunned? Hold on. According to a WHO report of 2004, India alone is responsible for more than half a million deaths due to diarrhoea.

An act as simple as washing hands with soap at key occasions like before eating, after defecating and while bathing can change these disturbing figures by saving numerous lives. It was found that children did not wash their hands before having lunch, despite the availability of soap. The old and bulky, hand-operated pumps are the only  way to access water in multiple rural schools, which kids found difficult and tiresome to use. Lifebuoy overcame this snag by making this tedious activity, easy and fun!

Here’s how they did this.
