Arnab Goswami, Rahul Shivshankar Get Invite To Turn Up At JNU For Debate

The media has been at the centre of the JNU row with journalists being beaten up at Patiala House court and news channels airing videos from the controversial February 9 event followed by heated debates. Some like Times Now‘s Arnab Goswami and News X‘s Rahul Shivshankar have come under fire for allegedly trying to brand students anti-national.

While Goswami has been criticised by several other journalists as well (notably Ravish Kumar), secretary of All India Progressive Women’s Association and CPI activist Kavita Krishnan has now challenged the anchors and invited them to “come for a News Hour to a place of our choice, perhaps JNU”

In the public Facebook post, the former joint secretary of the JNU Student’s Union asks Goswami to come as a guest, along with Rahul Shivshankar of News X and Sudhir Chowdhury of Zee News. She has asked them to face questions about the alleged airing of doctored videos and inaccuracies in news debates.

She also asked Goswami why he lied when Siddharth Vardarajan of The Wire first exposed him, and dared him and other anchors to face question saying “The Nation Really Wants To Know”.
