Lalit Modi Suggests How IPL Can Help Drought-Hit Areas & Gets Massive Support On Twitter

Lalit Modi perhaps never misses an opportunity to rile the BCCI and the Indian Premier League. At a time everyone’s debating whether the IPL should be played in areas affected by drought, the former head of the IPL tweeted and posted a picture on Instagram saying the cricket league can do much more.

In a series of tweets, Modi suggested the BCCI could donate Rs 1000 crore and profits towards helping the victims of drought and effectively even started a trend #IPLforDroughtVictims.

Here’s what he tweeted:

Many people supported this suggestion and said the BCCI should do exactly that.

After seeing the support he was getting, Modi upped the ante against the BCCI

And even made a promise:

Now to see whether the BCCI bends to a suggestion from the man it’s least likely to listen to.
