Legendary Author Ruskin Bond Is Now On Twitter!

With a beautiful cover photo of mountains, author Ruskin Bond on Friday announced that he had joined Twitter with a short crisp tweet.

Though he’s not tweeted anything after that he still has over 4,000 followers in less than a day and that single tweet has over 960 retweets and over 1000 likes. Perhaps it just an endorsement of how popular the author remains.

Ruskin Bond is a legend in Indian writing and the 81-year-old author lives in Mussouri. He won the Sahitya Akademi Award for his book Our Trees Still Grow In Dehra

His books like The Room On The Roof, The Night Train At Deoli, Rusty The Boy From The Hills and many more are considered classics of Indian writing. Most of his books are based on life in the hill stations of India, in the foothills of Himalayas.

Awarded the Padma Shri in 1999 and Padma Bhushan in 2014, the author hasn’t been on any social media before. Here’s hoping to hear a lot more from him on the platform in the coming days.
